Conveniently located in the heart of Basel.
There was no air conditioning, and the bathroom had mold. The management's communication regarding lost items was deeply unsatisfactory.

There were a work desk, coffee/tea making equipment and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels in the room, enjoyed that. The accommodation had a central location to the Congress centre...

Early check-in, magnificent and fantastic location right by the picturesque river front and the river and fine restaurants and the main attractions. Also, easy to reach by tram from train station.

The one-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and had a fully equipped kitchenette, made meal prep easy. The separate toilet was a nice touch, and I enjoyed the friendly reception staff. Plus, the location is perfect, just a short walk from the Rhine River and the old bridge.
The air conditioning was tricky to manage.

An amazing hotel with a strategic location that's close by to the shops, restaurants, tourist attraction, and transit stations. The apartment is comfortable and well furnished - makes you feel at home. The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. Loved it! and had to extend our stay for another 2 weeks. The next time you're planning a trip to Basel you must consider Adagio as it's truly a place to feel 'at ease'.

The apartments are comfortable, well located and represent excellent value compared with all equivalently equipped hotels in Basel. We know the city well but first time visitors would find the location excellent for seeing the sights. The facilities and services fully justify the 3 star rating and whilst it doesn't compare with riverside hotels for views,a short walk reveals all Basel's best bits.

The studio was nice, but the bed was super uncomfortable and I barely slept.

This hotel was a fantastic surprise. The location wasn't the center of the old town, but in fact it was at most, a 10 minute walk into that area. Plus you get free public transport cards for Basel during your stay, with numerous trams very close to the hotel. It is in a more 'locals' part of town, with a good feel and close to shopping and supermarkets, etc. The self-contained studio room we had was large and well designed and had great facilities like dishwasher, iron, kitchen utensils, clothes drying rack, plus access to a hotel self-service laundry. They have really thought about what an independent traveller would need. The room was quiet (facing the inner courtyard). Large underground security carpark was great (but not included in room cost). The generous 'Cinq Mondes' brand toiletry goods were a really nice touch also.
Free wifi in the hotel lobby didn't continue in the rooms, where you have to pay 16chf per 24 hours for the 'convenience' of (a short) cable-connected internet service - should really be free and be wifi - we thought completely went against the functionality of the rest of the hotel.

The location is excellent in the middle of the Basel city but still very quiet. It feels like home away from home and my stay is always a pleasure.
